There’s so much more to this hobby than just “building trains in your basement!” At the train show I found a hat that matches my caboose! No, not that caboose, the caboose you see in the selfie! When I saw it I knew I needed it. Only after I bought it did I realize the caboose I brought with me to the train show had the same logo!
One thing I really like about this hobby is there are so many places to go, things to see and people to meet! This last month I spent 4 1⁄2 hours at a friend’s house in St George the day after Thanksgiving (see my AP Article for those details) as well as participating in the train show at the Fairgrounds. When I was trying to take the above selfie a little girl kept trying to get into my picture. Her mom was laughing and saying I had a photobomber. It was pretty funny. It wasn’t a large train show but it is always fun interacting with the public and being able to share this hobby with others.
I look forward to seeing you this month at our annual potluck/white elephant gift exchange. We had some funny items last year and some great food. Let’s keep that tradition going another year! I look forward to seeing everyone again. If we haven’t seen you for a while, try extra hard to make it so we can enjoy the journey together!
