July Superintendent Message

There’s so much more to this hobby than just “building trains in your basement!” I recently volunteered to help with parking at the Lehi Rodeo and guess what? The train tracks are right next to the rodeo grounds! As a bonus for my service I got to see Frontrunner go by several times! There is something cool about seeing (and hearing) those big machines up close as they whooshed by.

Speaking of volunteering, we need a Volunteer Coordinator for our Division. All of our positions are on a volunteer basis but we need someone to help organize and get people to help at shows and other events. Sometimes we just need someone for an hour or two or even a day for when these events are happening. If you think you can help coordinate people (not an event) then let me know. A lot of people are doing a lot of things so it would be nice to have this aspect more organized instead of ad hoc. It would take some stress off those planning the events. We all want to enjoy the events and things go smoother when organized and then we can enjoy the journey together!
