It is with heavy heart I must give the news that we lost two model railroaders this week. On Monday, January 7, 2019 we lost Peter Hahn to cancer. He was a member of the Utah Garden Railway Society and a contest winner at the Intermountain Train Expo. I recently was getting to know Peter better and was looking forward to getting to know him better. He will be missed! You can read his obituary here. I understand his ashes will be spread in Ely, Nevada.
Wednesday, January 9, 2019, Thayne Tenney passed away. While it had been awhile since I had seen him, I remember him as someone who was very happy. I shared several operating sessions with him in the early days of the D.O.G.s and his construction techniques for his model railroad were top notch! He will be missed! You can read his obituary here. Services will be Sunday, January 13, 2019 at Jenkins Soffe South Valley, 1007 West South Jordan Pkwy, (10600 So.) South Jordan at 2 pm.
